Do all Somfy remotes work with all Somfy RTS motors?

For example, Situo RTS remotes work with most standard roller blinds and curtains, while Soliris RTS remotes are designed for use with sun/wind sensors on awnings. Always check compatibility before buying, or contact us for help matching your motor to the right remote.
Can I use a Somfy remote without Wi-Fi or a hub?
Yes. All Somfy RTS remotes work independently of Wi-Fi or smart hubs. They communicate directly with the motor using a secure 433 MHz signal. This makes them simple and reliable, ideal for anyone who doesn’t need app control.
Which remote should I choose?
It depends on your setup:
-
Use Situo RTS for standard blinds and curtains
-
Use Chronis RTS if you want timers and schedules
-

All Somfy remotes we sell are designed for use with Somfy RTS motors only. However, not all RTS remotes are universal, each one is built for a specific purpose, and compatibility depends on the type of motor and application.
The Situo RTS remote is the most versatile option and works with most standard RTS roller blind and curtain motors. For users who want scheduled automation, the Chronis RTS remote includes a built-in timer and is ideal for blinds, shutters, or any RTS motor where timed operation is needed. The Soliris RTS remote is designed specifically for use with sun and wind sensors, making it perfect for external awnings that respond to weather conditions. Meanwhile, the Telis Modulis RTS remote includes a scroll wheel for precise tilt control of Venetians or louvre systems.
These remotes are not cross-compatible, for example, the Soliris remote requires compatible sensors and won’t operate standard blinds on its own. Similarly, the Telis Modulis remote is not suitable for basic up/down blind control.
All remotes listed on this page are RTS only, and they are not compatible with Somfy IO motors, Zigbee systems, Wi-Fi only devices, or third party automation platforms. If you’re unsure which remote is right for your setup, get in touch and we’ll help you choose the correct controller for your motor.
