How to Set Timers on the Automate Push Pro Remote
Updated: 6 days ago
The Automate Push Pro can run scheduled blind movements without Wi-Fi, an app or a smart hub. It stores up to 10 custom offline timers, making it a practical choice when you want reliable daily opening and closing but do not need away-from-home control.
Each timer can include selected shades or groups, chosen days and up to two behaviours and activation times. A single timer can therefore handle a morning and evening routine for the same selection.
Before setting the timer
Pair and name every shade you want the timer to control.
Create the required room or whole-home groups first.
Check that each shade or group responds correctly from the remote.
Open the remote settings and confirm the current time.
Charge the Push Pro so it can remain available for scheduled operation.
Set a favourite position first if the timer will use that behaviour.
Create a Push Pro timer
Press Menu on the Push Pro.
Select Timers with the navigation buttons, then press Enter.
Choose Add Timer.
Edit the timer name so its purpose is clear, such as Weekday Morning or Western Sun.
Set Enabled to Yes.
Open Edit Schedule and select the days when the timer should run.
Open Edit Groups & Shades and select the exact shades or groups the timer will control.
Choose Behaviour 1: open, close, favourite position or an available percentage.
Set Time 1.
If needed, choose Behaviour 2 and Time 2 for a second action on the same days.
Save the timer, return to the timer list and confirm it remains enabled.
Example timer plans
Morning and night
Create one timer for the bedroom group. Set Behaviour 1 to open at the preferred wake-up time and Behaviour 2 to close in the evening. Select weekdays, weekends or every day to suit the household.
Afternoon heat control
Create a timer for western-facing blinds and close them before the hottest part of the afternoon. Add a later opening action if you want the room opened again after direct sun has passed.
Privacy routine
Schedule street-facing blinds to close around dusk. Because sunset changes throughout the year, review a fixed-time schedule seasonally.
If the timer does not run
Open the timer and confirm Enabled is set to Yes.
Check the remote’s current time and day.
Confirm the intended days are selected in Edit Schedule.
Check that the correct shades or groups are included.
Test the selected shade or group manually from the Push Pro.
Confirm the action is not already asking a fully open blind to open or a fully closed blind to close.
Keep the remote where its radio signal can reliably reach the motors.
Charge the remote and retest with a timer set a few minutes ahead.
Timer remote or Pulse Pro hub?
Push Pro is ideal for self-contained schedules controlled from the remote. It avoids Wi-Fi and hub setup, and normal remote operation remains simple.
Choose the Automate Pulse Pro hub if you also want phone control, voice assistants, away-from-home access, app-based scenes or schedules that are easier to adjust from a mobile device. Many installations use both: a physical remote for everyday control and a hub for connected features.
How many timers do you really need?
Start with the routines that deliver a clear benefit. Morning opening, evening privacy and afternoon heat control usually cover more value than a long list of narrow schedules. Because each timer can contain two behaviours, plan the paired actions before using another timer slot.
Changing or pausing a schedule
Open Timers, select the timer and edit its schedule, shades, groups, behaviour or time. Set Enabled to No when you want to pause it temporarily without deleting the setup. This is useful during holidays, seasonal changes or renovation work.
